Client operations

WorkRate keeps the day-to-day client machine visible.

Track what was worked, what is included, what is ready to bill, who owns the next step, and what the client has asked for. Every screen is built to reduce the number of places a service team has to check before making a decision.

One workspace 1 Client context, portals, service blocks, time, tasks, tickets, messages, invoices, payments, and reporting stay connected instead of scattered across tools.

What WorkRate controls

Client work has a shape. WorkRate keeps that shape visible.

Client Workspaces

Every client gets a command center for contacts, services, monthly blocks, notes, tasks, tickets, messages, time logs, and invoice status.

02

Client Portals

Give clients a focused login for visible tools such as overview, ticket requests, messaging, task visibility, and invoice context.

03

Time Tracking

Start timers, collapse the ticker, log billable or included time, add manual entries, edit notes, and keep session history clean.

04

Tickets and Messages

Turn client requests into trackable tickets, keep internal and client communication organized, and see what needs attention.

05

Team Permissions

Invite internal users, assign workspaces, choose enabled modules, and keep owner-only controls protected.

06

Invoices and Stripe Connect

Create PDF invoices, generate exact-amount checkout links, and route invoice payments to the agency's connected Stripe account.

Why it feels different

WorkRate is not trying to become another bloated project suite.

It is built around a simple operating question: what is happening for each client, what has been worked, what needs action, who owns it, and what is ready to bill?

Designed for agencies that need answers fast

  • See whether a client has open tasks without leaving the overview.

FAQ

Quick answers before you run client work through WorkRate.

What problem is WorkRate solving?

WorkRate keeps client work, time, tasks, billing context, monthly blocks, and invoice-ready records in one operating view so agencies are not chasing answers across spreadsheets, task tools, and billing notes.

Is this a CRM, project manager, or accounting tool?

WorkRate is a client command center. It sits between client management, task execution, time tracking, and invoice prep. It does not try to replace your accounting system or every project management feature.

Does WorkRate replace accounting software?

No. WorkRate prepares invoice-ready work and client billing records. Stripe Connect can collect exact invoice totals, but your accounting system remains part of your financial stack.

Can I use WorkRate if I forgot to start a timer?

Yes. Manual Add Hours supports controlled backfilled time entries, notes, service selection, and invoice status tracking.

How does WorkRate handle monthly support blocks?

Monthly blocks can track included support time separately from billable time, giving agencies visibility into what has been used without accidentally charging for work that belongs inside a retainer.

Can I bring my own payment processor?

Yes. WorkRate supports client-level manual payment links and Stripe Connect for exact-amount invoice checkout on paid plans.

Does WorkRate include bookkeeping?

Not in V1. WorkRate focuses on client operations, time, tasks, billing prep, and invoice workflows. Bookkeeping may become a future workflow or integration if it clearly belongs inside the product.

How is WorkRate different from ClickUp, Harvest, or FreshBooks?

Those tools can be excellent at their own jobs. WorkRate is built around the agency owner question: what is happening for each client, what has been worked, what needs action, and what is ready to bill?

Will clients be able to log in?

Yes. Paid plans can create client portal access and choose which visible tools each client can use, including requests, messages, tasks, and invoice-related views.
